A lot of backyards in Gainesville just kind of sit there - dirt, patchy grass, no real usable space. That's exactly what we were working with here. The homeowner wanted something functional, something that actually made sense to spend time on.
We went with Belgard pavers for this one. That's not an accident. Belgard is one of the most trusted names in the paver world for a reason - the material holds up well against Florida's heat, humidity, and heavy rain cycles without cracking or shifting the way concrete slabs tend to over time. When you're investing in your outdoor space, you want something built to last.
The layout came together cleanly. A large rectangular field of pavers extending out from the back of the home, giving the homeowner a solid base for outdoor furniture, a grill setup, or just extra space to move around. The mixed earth tones in the Belgard pattern complement the home's exterior without fighting for attention.
What we like about paver patios - beyond how they look - is that they're also practical on the maintenance side. Individual pavers can be pulled and reset if needed down the road. That's something a poured concrete slab simply can't offer you.
If your backyard is sitting empty and you've been thinking about doing something with it, a paver patio is one of the more straightforward ways to get real value out of that space. We work throughout the Gainesville area and would be glad to talk through what makes sense for your yard.
